Courses for schools and universities are carefully tailored to suit the developmental needs of each student age group.

For instance, at primary school level, we focus on using our voices, thinking about risk, recognising potential dangers, the importance of telling a trusted adult, and prioritising safe escape — all conveyed through games and activities designed to facilitate the children's understanding.

At secondary school level, we introduce topics such as online gender-based violence, assessment of risky behaviours, self-awareness, definitions of assault and harassment, the red flags of relationship abuse and grooming, physical defence strategies, and the importance of reporting concerns. The programme also highlights building confidence and self-worth, setting healthy boundaries and feeling comfortable with saying ‘no’.

University-level courses further expand upon these subjects, integrating advanced communication strategies for addressing unwanted behaviour across different situations, more detailed physical techniques for protecting oneself in a range of scenarios including spiking, and managing the common ‘freeze’ response associated with sexual assault.

All courses are delivered with sensitivity and care, recognising that some participants may have previously encountered assault or abuse and could find certain topics distressing. Engaging exercises reinforce key self-defence concepts while addressing the full spectrum of violence, from verbal harassment and emotional manipulation to physical abuse.
